2027 Skybox Metal Universe Halo revisits Master Chief and other characters from the Halo universe with help from one of the most memorable card brands of the 1990s.
The Upper Deck release offers Hobby and Blaster boxes.
Of course, Halo is no stranger to trading cards, including 2024 Upper Deck Halo Collection and 2007 Topps Halo.
2027 Skybox Metal Universe Halo Checklist Rundown
Given the brand's signature style, 2027 Skybox Metal Universe Halo may just be the best-suited franchise for the outer-space treatment.
Chases include well-known '90s inserts and the classic Precious Metal Gems (PMG) parallels.
Base & Parallel Details
Showcasing "etched decorative foil underneath elements of the subject image to give every card a metallic textured look," the 2027 Skybox Metal Universe Halo checklist begins with a 90-card base set.
The first half of the lineup (#1-45) comes on the iconic 1995 Metal Universe design. Cards #46-90 use a much more recent Metal interpretation from 2021 Metal Universe Champions.
Each Hobby box should yield three Ombre parallels and one Hobby-exclusive Eclipse (/140) version. Blasters have a chance for exclusive Infrared (3 per box) and Kilonova (/250) parallels.

- Infrared
- Ombre

- Eclipse - /140 (Hobby exclusive)

Insert Details
Among the 2027 Skybox Metal Universe Halo inserts, Metal Universe Metalized is a common choice, appearing once per pack.
There's also plenty for nostalgic collectors, as many designs pull from prior releases. Past styles are honored in 1997-98 Retros, EX-2001 (1998-99 EX-2001), Jambalaya (1997-98 EX-2001), Planet Metal (1998 Metal Universe) and Ti-22 (2013 Fleer Retro).
Other retro-inspired favorites include Hardware, Planet Metal and Platinum Portrait.
Averaging two per case, Dark Matter is still one of the brand's newest entries, first appearing in 2024-25 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey.
Autograph Details
No names were teased, but Talent Autograph cards are noted as a possible Hobby case hit.
