The trading card product was first teased at the 2025 Topps Industry Summit in April 2025.
Topps.com presales are scheduled for September 2, 2025, via an EQL raffle.
SpongeBob SquarePants debuted in 1999 on Nickelodeon to wide acclaim, earning a legion of followers along the way.
Although this is the initial Topps Chrome release for SpongeBob, Topps previously issued SpongeBob cards in 2009.

The 2025 Topps Chrome SpongeBob SquarePants checklist honors the various anthropomorphic sea creatures with cards, Refractor parallels and inserts.
There are also authentic autographs of the voice talent, including Tom Kenny (as the SpongeBob SquarePants) and Bill Fagerbakke (as Patrick Star).
Base & Insert Details
While the early information is still relatively sparse, 2025 Topps Chrome SpongeBob SquarePants 25th Anniversary offers a 200-card base set that covers key characters, locations and moments from the show.
The base rainbow includes Kelp Green Refractor parallels, which are exclusive to Value Blasters.
Insert chases appear via the rare Bikini Bottoms VIPs cards.
