The 2026-27 Upper Deck MVP Hockey checklist offers collectors an early look at the new rookie class, plus rookie redemptions and some new inserts.
However, the early-season set is not the place to chase hits like autographs or relics.
Base & Parallel Details
2026-27 Upper Deck MVP Hockey opens with a 250-card base set that includes 50 cards in the SPs & Rookies subset, which appear in every other pack.
There are just five pack-pulled parallels, including the Blaster-exclusive Gold Script. These Script versions add a facsimile signature to the card, like the one-of-one Super Script Black edition.

Redemption Details
Because the product typically releases before the NHL season, only carryover rookies arrive in 2026-27 Upper Deck MVP Hockey. As always, UD attempts to offset that with rare rookie redemptions for those making their actual debut in the '26-27 season.
This includes divisional Rookie Redemptions (1:400 packs), plus 2026 NHL #1 Draft Pick SP Redemption (1:1,250 packs), for to-be-named players. The #1 redemption also includes an extremely tough Gold parallel (1:12,500 packs).
Insert Details
With no autographs or inserts in play, inserts carry the rest of the 2026-27 Upper Deck MVP Hockey checklist.
The six most common inserts combine to average 10 per Hobby box. Honoring prior MVPs and current hopefuls, the returning Gotta Have Hart (1:14 packs) was last seen in 2006-07 Upper Deck MVP. Clutch Performers (1:14 packs) is another past insert line getting the call back into action.
Debuts include Let it Rip (1:10 packs), featuring those with a knack for shooting, and Paired Up (1:14 packs), which covers top duos. The Slot (1:10 packs) and Welcome, Freshmen! (1:14 packs) are other new choices.
