Exclusive to Target, 2026 Upper Deck Transformers the Movie 40th Special Edition ushers in UD's new Hasbro trading card license with a look at The Transformers: The Movie (1986).
Hanger boxes initially sold for $19.99 directly from the Target website. This format is a small box set with two extra cards.
The 40 Years boxes also offer a chance to get an autograph from Peter Cullen (as Optimus Prime), who recently passed away.

2026 Upper Deck Transformers the Movie 40th Special Edition Checklist Rundown
Likely to stir emotions for many collectors who grew up in the '80s, 2026 Upper Deck Transformers the Movie 40th Special Edition is a basic trading card release that celebrates 40 years since the film's original debut.
Every Hanger box contains the entire 10-card base set, featuring Optimus Prime, Megatron and other key characters.
Select parallels add rarity to the set, including the one-of-one Matrix of Leadership edition. The Galaxy edition appears as a full 10-card parallel set once in every 20 boxes.
- Energon - 1 per pack
- Galaxy - 1 10-card set in every 20 packs
- Anniversary - /1,986
- Unicron - /86
- Matrix of Leadership - 1/1
Averaging one card per pack, Stellar System is the lone insert. These include limited Supernova (/99), Black Hole (/25) and Cybertron (/5) parallels.
Of course, the ultimate chase in 2026 Upper Deck Transformers the Movie 40th Special Edition is the Optimus Prime's Mark Autograph card with Peter Cullen's signature. This card is reportedly limited to just 10 copies, though no odds or rarity were indicated on the checklist from UD.
There's also a one-of-one One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall Autograph of Cullen.
