Base & PMG Parallel Details
As in past years, the 2026-27 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey checklist is anchored by a 150-card base set, with rookies filling the final 50 cards (#101-150; 1 per pack).
Of course, Precious Metal Gems parallels headline the series, including numbered Red PMG (/100), Green PMG (/10) and Gold PMG (1/1) editions.
Lucky "Hot Boxes" contain a Blue PMG (/50) card in every pack.
FX parallels are also possible, including a pair of Blaster-exclusive colors.

Insert Details
Just getting started, inserts are a focal point of 2026-27 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey.
Returning favorites include All-Galactic Team (1:15 packs), Fresh Foundation (1:8 packs) and Skybox Premium Prospects (1:5 packs).
If you prefer new options, check out Glitched (1:8 packs), showcasing "a background inspired by 80’s-style linework," and Starmen (1:8 packs), reserved for those who have played on only one NHL team.
All five common sets combine to average 10 cards per Hobby box, and come in the same parallel selection.
Insert Parallels
- Rainbow - #'d
- Purple -/199 (Blaster exclusive)
- Speckle - /99
- Red - /50
- Green - /10
- Blue - 1/1
Slightly tougher to uncover is the all-new Moon Walkers (1:40 packs) foilboard insert with "special texturing." Averaging six cards per case, this "one-and-done" set won't be issued again. These have Red (/99), Blue (/50), Green (/15) and Blue (1/1) parallels.
Another debut is Space Voids (1:60 packs), printed on "soft-touch" stock, just like the Dark Matter inserts.
The most elusive 2026-27 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey inserts combine to average 1:4 boxes, or four per case overall.

- Eat At - 1:267 packs
- Microcosms - 1:1,200 packs
- Overture - 1:1,200 packs

Some of the first-time lines appear as die-cuts, including Eat At (1:267 packs), resembling a neon diner sign.
Microcosms (1:1,200 packs) showcases original art and is printed on the same stock as Jambalaya.
The short-printed chase continues with Overture (1:1,200 packs), featuring top rookies on a four-sided die-cut design that resembles antique sheet music, with sticks and pucks replacing the notes.
Finally, Shining Through (1:267 packs) comes as a blue, gold, green or red die-cut, while Telescopes (1:267 packs) captures NHL stars through a telescopic lens.
